Description

The Crystal Atomizer is an extractor that can be placed on Iridium Crystals to extract iridium. Its production rate varies depending on the size of the crystal it is attached to, with a maximum output of 10 iridium per second from a fully sized crystal. The Crystal Atomizer does not deplete the crystal it is attached to.

One unique feature of the Crystal Atomizer is its ability to refill the crystal it is attached to when its internal storage is above 90% capacity (45 iridium). It will fill the crystal at a rate of 2 iridium per second, which does not expend any iridium from its own storage.

The Crystal Atomizer is particularly useful for surface bases due to its ability to be placed anywhere on the Mainland where crystals are abundant. However, it becomes less effective later in the game and should be used alongside other extractors such as Well Pumps to maximize iridium production.

Strategies

• Place the Crystal Atomizer on fully sized Iridium Crystals for maximum production.
• Ensure the Atomizer's storage is frequently above 90% to take advantage of its crystal refilling feature.
• Use in conjunction with other extractors like Well Pumps for optimal iridium output, especially in later stages of the game.

• 2024-07-31 — Crystal Atomizer production set to 7i/s.
• 2024-12-26 — Improved Crystal Atomizers to produce 9i/s instead of 7i/s.
• 2025-01-02 — Atomizer iridium output increased 9ir/s -> 10ir/s.
